You want to do everything you can to prevent your bulldog from having any kind of oral health issues as they can lead to much more serious problems. Introducing your puppy or dog to a tooth brush and tooth paste will make things much easier on the both of you, and your pocket book.

Taking your dog or puppy in for a professional teeth cleaning can be very expensive and they do have to put them under anesthesia which is always a risk for anyone. Since your dog can not tell you when they are having a tooth ache, it’s up to you to keep up on their oral health for them. Giving your dog dental chews a few times a week if not once a day is a great preventative treatment. There are also liquids you can put in their water that helps fight against plaque and bad breath. They have special tooth brushes for dogs at all pet stores, they can help you pick out the right one.

Just make sure to check up on your bulldogs teeth and gums once a week or a couple times a month so this way you will notice if anything is slightly off. The first sign of a problem, you should take them into the vet right away before the problem worsens into something more serious. This will ensure that your bulldog has a happy, healthy and pain free life ahead.

Pineapple is perfectly fine for dogs. It doesn’t offer any nutritional value to their daily diet though. This fruit is high in sugar and can cause a bit of an upset in your dogs tummy (including Golden Retrievers) so don’t give them pineapple too often. If you ever lose track of what is harmful to feed your dog, check it out online, talk to your vet or just make things simple and don’t feed them anything except dog food.

This year there were 65 dogs in the competition. Thousands of people watched from the beach as these brave dogs showed off their skills on the waves. People came from all over the place to watch this event. They even have some celebrity sightings as well. Each dog is allowed 10 minutes to catch two waves and they are judged on the length of the ride, their confidence level and overall performance.

This competition has three categories which are Small Dogs, Large Dogs and Tandem. There is a first, second and third place for each category. The winners are rewarded with a pet vacation at Loews Coronado Bay Resort. The biggest canine in this competition was an 85 lb Bernese Mountain dog named Nani and the smallest was a 5 lb Pomeranian named Bobby Gorgeous.

This competition usually takes place within the first few months of the year and the cause isn’t the same everytime. It’s a charity event and this year the money raised went to the San Diego Police Department’s Canine Unit.

Bull Dogs have a higher tolerance for pain more so than other dog breeds. It’s important to do physical checks on them and regular visits to the vet since you may not be able to tell if anything is wrong with him or her.

This dog breed doesn’t need tons of strenuous exercise. They do need to be walked often but if the exercise routine is too heavy, they can over heat very easily so that’s something to keep in mind. The Bull Dog sweats through their feet so you will notice another way for them to get rid of the heat in their body is to pant heavily. When it’s hot outside, it’s important to keep them in a heat controlled environment. This isn’t the type of dog you want to take jogging with you on an 80 degree day.

Most dog breeds are known for some health problems and here are a few that the bull dog may run into: Pododermatitis – skin infection in the paws, Elbow Dysplasia – abnormal joint development, Fold Dermatitis – inflammation in the skin folds, Skeletal System Parosteitis – inflammation of the tissue surrounding the bone. Other dog breeds can have these same problems as well.

There are hundreds of different dog breeds in the world today and they are all so different. Some of the dog breed groups include hounds, herding, sporting and non-sporting, terriers, working and kid-friendly breeds.
The anatomy, characteristics and temperament of these breeds differ in so many ways and some are quite similar.

People have bred their choice of dogs to come up with other dog breeds we see this day. That’s been going on since the old days. That is why we have so many different dog breeds.

Dogs make such loving and loyal companions no matter what breed. They make us happy, healthy and can even reduce your stress levels.

English Bulldogs are so adorable, how can you resist! This is a very loyal breed and so gentle and kind. The looks may throw you off a little bit, they do look pretty tough.

Like most other dogs you know, they have lots of energy as a young puppy but they calm down quite a bit once they get into their older age.

The English Bulldog does well with other animals most of the time and prefers to live an indoor lifestyle. They don’t like a whole lot of exercise since they do tend to overheat and the are easily over exerted. If you take him/her on too long of a walk, you may end up carrying your little friend back home.

The English Bulldog descended from ancient mastiffs from Asia. Bulldogs were bred in the 13th century for bull baiting when a bull was annually chased through the streets. Bull-baiting was a blood sport that involved the baiting of bulls.
