Dog Health
Bull Dogs have a higher tolerance for pain more so than other dog breeds.  It’s important to do physical checks on them and regular visits to the vet since you may not be able to tell if anything is wrong with him or her.

This dog breed doesn’t need tons of strenuous exercise.  They do need to be walked often but if the exercise routine is too heavy, they can over heat very easily so that’s something to keep in mind.  The Bull Dog sweats through their feet so you will notice another way for them to get rid of the heat in their body is to pant heavily.  When it’s hot outside, it’s important to keep them in a heat controlled environment.   This isn’t the type of dog you want to take jogging with you on an 80 degree day.

Most dog breeds are known for some health problems and here are a few that the bull dog may run into: Pododermatitis - skin infection in the paws, Elbow Dysplasia - abnormal joint development, Fold Dermatitis - inflammation in the skin folds, Skeletal System Parosteitis - inflammation of the tissue surrounding the bone.  Other dog breeds can have these same problems as well.
